SEWER LOCATING

NSW Land Services is proud to work with a network of Sydney Water Accredited Providers. This makes us a trusted source for builders, developers and architects across NSW. If you are proposing to build over or adjacent to a Sydney Water asset, Sewer Locating needs to be carried out. A Sewer Locating report specifies the following details:

• Reduced Level (RL) – depth of asset to invert
• Asset Type – sewer, water, stormwater
• Surface Type – natural (e.g. clay, rock, sand, grass) or synthetic (e.g. concrete, bitumen, paving)

1. Discuss purpose and scope of Sewer Locating to determine cost estimate
2. Request sewer location documents from Sydney Water
3. Visit site and perform field Sewer Locating
4. Draft and release report in electronic PDF format (if requested)
